Erosion & Sediment Control

  • Land Erosion - Case Study 1

Simply stated, we know what works and what does not.  Our planned controls can be counted on to be functional in the real world, practical to implement, and easily adaptable should modifications or adjustments be required.   For this project alone, our Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control (SESC) inspectors are covering 35 miles of pipeline spanning three counties, including three soil conservation districts and crossing numerous streams, highways, bridges, and agricultural properties with unique topographic and SESC challenges.

  • Land Erosion - Case Study 2

To support the expansion of a bulk fuel terminal in Georgia, Apex prepared and executed the necessary Soil Erosion & Sedimentation Control (SESC) Plans for expanding the offloading facilities, paving an area of the terminal, and adding an above-ground storage tank and tank dike. The construction activities created 2.94 acres of land disturbance on the 12-acre site. Apex developed a plan to manage the quality of stormwater runoff associated with terminal construction activities including operational criteria, compliant Best Management Practices (BMPs), and documentation that fully satisfied all associated regulations.

  • Land Erosion - Case Study 3

Apex provides comprehensive operation and maintenance on 18 miles of stormwater systems for 19 multi-family housing communities located at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California.  Our stormwater field technicians inspect and clear debris in stormwater swales, catch basins and outlets; evaluate the condition of systems using closed circuit television (CCTV); and respond to storm events.  Our team of engineers and field technicians work together to design and implement capital improvements including restoration of outfalls in environmentally sensitive areas to restore stormwater flow; replacement of damaged headwalls and collapsed lines; and installation of compliance ports to enable observation and sampling of stormwater at property lines.
