ROCKVILLE, MD—September 19, 2017—Apex Companies, LLC—a leading water resources, environmental services, and industrial hygiene firm—welcomes Bill Fontenot as their new Texas Division Manager.
With over 20 years of experience supervising teams of engineers, geologists, and field technicians and managing complex programs and projects for multiple oil and gas clients in numerous regulatory jurisdictions, Bill’s leadership is a natural fit for Apex. As Division Manager, he will strategically align Apex’s teams within their Aztec, New Mexico; Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Midland, and San Antonio, Texas offices; increase market traction; and drive future growth across the region.
Prior to joining Apex, Bill served as the East Texas and Oklahoma Regional Manager for ATC Group Services LLC, Senior Manager for AECOM, and Regional Manager for Cardno ERI. His extensive experience spans remediation/bioremediation, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), wetland restoration, oil spill investigations, construction management, legal claim analyses/litigation support, landfill gas services, construction oversight, permitting, and due diligence. Bill has extensively served the retail, upstream, and midstream sectors during his career with projects that include managing a large portfolio of sites requiring groundwater and soil assessments; providing petroleum hydrocarbon remedial strategies and clean-up; overseeing UST removal and demolition; managing the operations and maintenance of soil vapor extraction, air sparge, and pump and treat remediation systems; and assessing a chlorinated solvent plume for a divested asset with retained liability. He holds a BS degree in environmental and sustainable resources from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
John Glabach, PE, Apex’s Central Regional Manager added, “Bill joined us in the middle of our Hurricane Harvey Response where he was able to see Team Apex at its best. He jumped right in with overall response coordination and added immediate value. As we strengthen our team and embrace both Bill’s leadership and the impressive talent we have overall, we are as much of a force to be reckoned with in the environmental industry as Harvey was in the region.”
